Scout Association's
Air Activities Centre, Archerfield Aerodrome, Brisbane, has
half-day courses for Joey Scouts,
full-day or overnight courses for Cub Scouts, and
two-day courses for Scouts, as well as
Gliding,
Parasailing and
Learn to Fly opportunities for Venturer Scouts, Rovers and Adult
Leaders.

Joey Scout Air Activity Morning at the
Scout Association's
Air Activities Centre, Archerfield Aerodrome, Brisbane
(10.00 am to 1.00 pm - does NOT include an aircraft flight).
Dates are 5 March 2005,

16 April 2005, 7 May 2005, 21 May 2005, 9
July 2005, 23 July 2005, 13 August 2005, 27
August 2005, 8 October 2005, 22 October 2005 and
5 November 2005.

They are also
being designed so they fit together into a diamond shape. We expect
them to be available in 2005."
Cub Scouts
Scouts

Scout Air Activities Courses at the
Scout Association's
Air Activities Centre, Archerfield Aerodrome, Brisbane.
Scouts may use this course to
qualify for the Air Activities Target Badge of their choice.
This is accomplished by pre-course assignments followed by an
INTENSIVE WEEKEND. This is NOT a normal Scout camp.
Scouts live-in under the supervision of Centre staff and are
expected to attend for the full weekend. The cost ($52.00 to $57.00,
depending on the badge being attempted) includes all meals, flight
in a light aeroplane, model glider, feature film, camp fees and all
course handouts. The programme is comprehensive and covers all
Target Badge requirements - see

Australian Jamboree, 2 - 11
January 2007 at Elmore, Victoria - "Get in the Game!"

While the exact age ranges are not yet
confirmed, if you were born between 8 February 1990 and 27 July
1993, AND will be an invested Venturer Scout by 27 July 2007,
YOU have a chance to attend the
21st
World Jamboree at Chelmsford, near London, UK, from 28
July to 8 August 2007, celebrating 100 years of Scouting.
Some details, such as the anticipated cost (at least $6,000) are on
the
International Event Fact Sheet .
Application Forms are now available; applications close December
2006. Adult Leader places will be limited to one Adult Leader
for every 8 Youth Members in the Australian Contingent.

September 2005, in association with Scouts Nepal and
Scouts Japan. Anticipated cost $3,500 - $4,500.
A medium to high level of fitness, and experience in
multi-day hiking, is essential.

District Training Meetings
(for all Leaders) are held at the District Training Den, Railway
Parade, Clayfield, at 7.30 pm on the last Tuesday of each month
(except December).
